Why you'll keep it
The last inch of a pot decides how the whole plant looks. A top layer of washed river pebbles stops soil splashing on rain days, blocks the fungus-gnat cycle at the surface, slows evaporation in summer — and makes every pot look styled instead of just planted.
Two kilos covers six to eight medium pots, or one serious tray garden, or the base of the terrarium you keep postponing.

Asked often
Do colored pebbles harm the soil?
These are dyed-and-sealed decorative stones; the coating is inert. For edible pots, use them around the plant, not mixed into soil.
Do they stop mosquitoes in plant trays?
A full pebble cover leaves no open water for laying eggs — it's the simplest fix for tray breeding.
