Poori jaankari

Everything you need to know

What's in the box

Two packs of weed & grass killer granules. Ready to use straight from the pack — nothing to dilute, nothing to mix, no sprayer needed.

  • 2 × granule packs
  • Use straight from the pack — no water to be added to it, only watered in after spreading
  • No knapsack, measuring jug or protective spray gear required
How to apply — sprinkle, then water in
  1. Pick the patch, not the whole plot. Treat the strip or clump you actually want cleared. This is not something you broadcast across an area you plan to keep planted.
  2. Cut tall growth back first if the weed is waist-high, so the granules reach the soil at the base instead of sitting on leaves.
  3. Sprinkle evenly over the root zone — the soil around the base of the growth, not the leaves. Even coverage matters more than quantity; a thick heap in one spot does nothing for the plant next to it.
  4. Water it in with a can or a hose, or apply just before expected rain. Granules do nothing sitting dry on the surface — moisture is what carries them down to the roots.
  5. Leave the area undisturbed. Don't dig, hoe or rake the treated patch afterwards; turning the soil moves the granules away from the roots you're targeting.

Wash your hands after handling, and rinse the watering can before you use it on plants you're keeping.

Where to use it — and where NOT to

Good uses: boundary lines and fence bases, the strip along a compound wall, garden paths and paver joints, driveway and gate edges, drain and nali edges, vacant plot corners, and stubborn clumps you keep cutting back and losing to.

Do not use:

  • Inside a lawn you want to keep. This is not a selective lawn weeder — it clears the treated patch.
  • Around the root zone of a tree, shrub or crop you intend to keep. Roots spread wider than the canopy; keep well clear.
  • In a vegetable bed, or anywhere you plan to sow or plant soon after.
  • On a slope that drains straight into a pond, well, borewell surround or a neighbour's bed — water moves it.
  • On a windy day if the granules are light enough to scatter beyond your patch.

We would rather tell you this plainly than sell you a page that claims a product is both "kills everything to the root" and "completely safe for your plants". Those two things cannot both be true.

Honest expectations — kitne din, kitni baar

How fast you see change depends on three things, and no seller can honestly give you one number that covers all of them:

  • What the weed is. Soft seasonal growth gives up first. An old, woody, deep-rooted clump resists longest and often needs a second application.
  • Water. Granules that never get watered in, or rain within a day or two, will sit there and do very little.
  • Weather. Actively growing weeds in warm weather take it up faster than dormant growth in cold.

What it will not do: stop seeds blowing in from next door. New growth arriving from outside your boundary is a fresh weed, not a failure of the treatment — that is why boundary strips get re-treated seasonally rather than once forever.

Safety — please read once
  • This is a weed-killing chemical. Keep the packs away from children and animals, stored closed, off the floor, and never in a food cupboard or an empty food container.
  • Keep children and pets off the treated patch until you have watered it in and the surface has dried.
  • Wear gloves if you have them. Wash hands, and wash any skin that granules touch.
  • Do not use the same watering can or measure for edible plants afterwards without rinsing it thoroughly.
  • Keep well away from wells, borewell surrounds, ponds and drinking-water sources.
  • If any is swallowed, or gets into eyes, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical help — take the pack with you.

Reviews

Kya kaam karta hai, kya nahi

  • Boundary wall ke saath

“Deewar ke kinare har monsoon jungle ban jaata tha, mazdoor bulao 500 rupaye. Granules daal ke paani de diya, dobara ugna kaafi kam ho gaya. Ek jagah phir se ugi to doosri baar daalna pada.”

    — Rakesh T., Jabalpur, MP

  • Raaste ki daraaron mein

“Tiles ke beech se ghaas nikalti thi jo haath se kabhi poori nahi nikalti. Yahan achha kaam kiya. Lawn mein bilkul mat daalna, wahan sab kuch chala jaayega — ye maine seekha.”

    — Gaurav N., Indore, MP

  • Spray se aasaan

“Pehle knapsack se karta tha, ghol banao, peeth pe uthao, hawa chali to sab kharab. Ye sirf chhidakna hai. Bujurg aadmi bhi kar le.”

    — Shivkumar R., Belgaum, Karnataka

  • Purani jhaad thodi zid karti hai

“Naram ghaas jaldi gayi. Jo mota purana jhund tha usme do baar daalna pada aur time laga. Umeed sahi rakhein.”

    — Habib A., Malegaon, Maharashtra

  • Do pack sahi rahe

“Ek pack sirf gate ke aas paas mein khatam ho gaya. Do wale pack ka matlab samajh aaya.”

    — Dinesh K., Hisar, Haryana

Upar kaatne se jad nahi marti

Har baar kaatne par plant upar se chhoti ho jaati hai aur jad waisi ki waisi rehti hai — isliye wahi patch agle mahine wapas khada milta hai.

Granules work the other way round: watered in, they move down through the soil to the root zone, so the part of the plant that keeps rebuilding it is the part that gets treated.

Ground that is cleared and grows back again
Messy spray versus granules applied at the root area

Knapsack ka jhanjhat khatam

Ghol banao, tank bharo, peeth pe uthao, ek ghanta pump karo — aur hawa chal gayi to aadha chemical wahan gaya jahan aap nahi chahte the.

Granules ko na mixing chahiye na machine. Jahan daaloge wahin rahenge, aur khaali pack ke saath sprayer dhone ka kaam bhi nahi.

Boundary walls, fence lines and path edges

Kahan daalein — aur kahan bilkul nahi

Boundary aur deewar ke kinare, raaste aur tiles ki daraarein, gate ke aas paas, naali ke kinare, khaali plot ka corner, aur wo ziddi jhund jise aap baar baar kaat rahe ho.

Lawn ke andar, sabzi ki kyari mein, ya us ped ki jad ke paas jise aap rakhna chahte ho — nahi. Jad canopy se zyada door tak faili hoti hai, isliye achhi doori rakhein.

Cutting is the cheapest thing to do once and the most expensive thing to keep doing. The root survives every cut, which is why the same patch is back next month.

Kharidne se pehle poocha jaata hai

Kya ye meri fasal ko nuksan karega?

Haan — agar aap ise fasal ke paas daalenge. This clears the patch you treat. It is for boundaries, paths, plot corners, drain edges and clumps you want gone, not for weeding between rows of a standing crop or inside a lawn you want to keep. Har doosri site aapko bolegi ki "crop-safe" hai aur saath mein jad se sab khatam karne ka photo dikhaayegi — dono ek saath sach nahi ho sakte.

Kitne din mein asar dikhega?

It depends on the weed, on whether it got watered in, and on the weather — soft seasonal growth responds first, an old woody clump takes longest and commonly needs a second application. We are not going to print a fixed number of days, because anyone who does is guessing on your behalf.

Kitna area cover hoga?

Treat the strip or clump you can see rather than broadcasting it over open ground — that is both cheaper and safer. As a practical guide, one pack handles a boundary strip or a couple of problem corners; the second pack is there because almost nobody has only one problem area, and because stubborn clumps need a repeat round.

Spray se behtar kyun?

No mixing, no tank to carry, no drift onto the plants you are keeping, and no sprayer to buy or repair. You trade a little precision for a lot of convenience — which is the right trade on a boundary or a path, and the wrong trade inside a flower bed.

Baarish ho gayi to dobara daalna padega?

Light rain soon after spreading is helpful — that is the watering-in step done for you. A heavy downpour that visibly washes granules off a slope is different; in that case re-treat once the surface has settled.

COD hai?
